2022 was an epic year for Sun and Peak Studios. It was full of growth, challenges, and celebration.
Because it meant so much to us, we wanted to put together a brief reflection of our year in all of its defining moments — from weddings to engagements, other beautiful shoots, and a bit of our personal journey.
I hope you love looking back on these 2022 Highlights as much as we do.
SUN AND PEAK STUDIOS: Wedding Highlights
Robby and Alyssa
In reflecting on 2022, this wedding was a highlight for its perfect balance.
The energy this day was a perfect harmony of fun and romantic through and through. It was a blast getting to shoot with such a big party in which everyone was super present and high energy. Also, it was a treat discovering the subtle Italian details worked into this day.
At its core, it was rich, cultural, and elegant.

Daniella and Ryan
This wedding stands out to us in retrospect because of its high energy.
It was such a party, and we had a great time shooting it.
Another personal highlight from this wedding was one specific photo I got of the bride and groom’s grandparents arriving at the ceremony. As an artist, I’m just so happy with how this photo looks, and it’s continued to be a stand-out shot in my personal portfolio ever since Danielle and Ryan’s big day.

Kristina and Jared
Kristina and Jared’s day stood out to me for its vibrancy.
Many decisions that were made to create this day broke away from the norms.
The florals for this wedding, for example, were incredibly colorful rather than predominantly neutral. The venue was also eclectic and together, the vibrant choices made for a refreshing and dynamic experience for us.

Jasmine and Jamison
This wedding was a highlight because it was a dream of careful details.
Not only was there something special to discover and photograph at every turn throughout the day, but we also had ample time to capture these details. Copious amounts of planning and effort were apparent in the experience of this day. All of this shines through the gallery.
It was everything we could hope for.

SUN AND PEAK STUDIOS: Engagements & Other Project Highlights
Sarah and Cam
Nervousness is such a normal thing to experience going into a photoshoot. This was such a stand-out from 2022 because Sarah and Cam truly gave a hundred and ten percent authenticity despite nerves.
The courage they channeled in their bond in front of the camera made for an awesome experience for all of us and resulted in gorgeous and real-feeling photos.

Jess and Renny
This was one of my favs because of the classy and sophisticated feel of the gallery.
Their photos tell the story of a developed and refined romance, and as a photographer, that sophistication is one of my favorite elements to capture. Many of the photos from this shoot carry a timelessness about them that I have really enjoyed looking back on throughout the year.

Styled Shoot
The styled shoot we captured in August is a project we could rant and rave about — and did in our previous blog: MALIBU STONE MOUNTAIN ESTATE WEDDING | LUXURY WEDDING INSPIRATION.
This is a major highlight from last year because it was so satisfying to see this specific vision we had for a wedding, come to life.
We are so grateful for the collaboration we achieved amongst all the vendors, and how were all able to support each other’s businesses.

Victoria and Derek
Victoria and Derek’s engagement shoot makes our list of highlights for a lot of reasons!
First, it was a stunning showcase of the Los Angeles Skyline at sunset.
Secondly, the two parts of the shoot were highly contrasting. I love the different ways both the down-to-Earth coffee shop date, and the more formal sunset photos showcase genuine aspects of Victoria and Derek’s love.

Overall, 2022 felt like a very transitional year for Sun and Peak.
We took last year to refresh our brand vision, identify and do away with habits that no longer serve us, and target new ways to elevate the client experience we deliver.
The year was full of learning, growth, and inspiration both professionally and personally.
Looking ahead to this year, we’re excited to curate our footprint even further, continue to capture true love and genuine relationships and continue to elevate the client experience with every detail of our work.
We’re so grateful for everyone who has been a part of Sun and Peak Studio’s journey and everyone who will be a part of it in 2023.
