This California Couple’s Rodeo Drive Engagement Session
Right off the bat, I was so excited for this session because of the location, on Rodeo. This was my first time shooting a session on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and I couldn’t wait!
I felt it would be a fun challenge to capture its stylish essence while playing down its status as a tourist attraction. So instead, focus on making it feel natural and authentic.

The location is always the first thing to consider when styling the shoot in a way that will tell the whole visual story, and to that end, Rodeo Drive was the perfect foundation to bring Cameryn + Stephon’s romance to light!!
Looking Stylish on Rodeo Drive
Not only was Rodeo Drive a very stylish backdrop for this evening, but this couple also had their own stylist assemble their looks for the night. Let me tell you, I could not be more obsessed with the results!
Each look was chic and intentional. It also included personal touches and details. Specifically, the leather jacket look stood out to me as being a perfect way to highlight this couple’s natural beauty and striking attitudes all at once.
It was all so intentional AND THEM.
A Night Engagement Session
The cherry on top of this already perfect evening was getting to experiment with flash against the nighttime backdrop. The city is already stunning, but this elevated it!
Most of my engagement sessions end just past sunset rather than into the night. This nighttime moment was such a fun time for me to be creative and try something new. After seeing the gallery in its final form, I can’t wait to capture similar looks in the future.
Overall this night was an absolute blast and drop-dead gorgeous. The date night theme came together perfectly and made Cameryn + Stephon shine so brightly.
