STONE MOUNTAIN ESTATE WEDDING FROM BEGINNING TO END

This beautiful day stemmed from a simple goal that we at Sun and Peak Studios dreamed of accomplishing. A day that had us yearning to capture a very specific wedding look that we had in our heads. None of our clients had yet to create this look for themselves, and we knew we wanted to create it as soon as possible.

Sun and Peak Studios Team up with Kaylee Day Weddings

Initially, we reach out to Kaylee with Kaylee Day Weddings to see if she had any interest in collaborating on this project with us. Thankfully and with great excitement, she accepted! Over the next couple of months, we vigorously went to work designing the most luxurious wedding at the Stone Mountain Estate.

We crafted mood boards and invited a band of brilliant vendors to come together for an ultimate-styled wedding shoot.

This project wasn’t for the faint of heart as it begged a lot of coordinating! Since we decided to go with a minimal Italian wedding feel, we had our work cut out for us.

And, we can tell you, it was all worth it!

The Moment our Stone Mountain Estate Wedding Dreams Became a Glorious Reality

When the day this Luxurious Minimal Italian Wedding Styled Shoot finally arrived, we knew we needed to start with the essentials, OUR DAILY COFFEE. We grabbed the goods from our favorite local shop, and made the hour-and-a-half trek to Stone Mountain Estates!

If you couldn’t tell by now, we were ecstatic and could barely breathe in the excitement. So, we made sure to get there early so that we could wait in the car and look out over the Malibu mountains.

As the time came to finally begin this long-awaited endeavor, it was so inspiring to finally see the venue in person. It’s extravagant and the interior truly feels like a castle. It would make the perfect location for the modern couple looking to host an intimate, elevated wedding.

Kaylee and I kicked the session off fangirling about everything! From our models to our other vendors, the vision was finally becoming a reality.

We started with flat lay photos which showcase Abbi Jo Design’s lovely stationery featuring lined envelopes (which is a perfect way to elevate your wedding invitations), and elegant script. We then moved on the to table-scape.

The table really depicts how timeless the B&W color scheme is. I was obsessed with Fully Bloomed
Floral’s arrangements and their use of Anemones. As the day went on, it was so clear
that all the vendors gave 110% and we were capturing beautiful work.

Sprinkle in a Little Bit of a Luxurious Sunset

As the sunset drew closer, the day just got more and more beautiful.

It felt like every five minutes I was thinking “OMG, it’s getting prettier,” and was put in awe all over
again. The venue is westward facing so it always gets the perfect sunset.

The golden hour photo’s truly felt like the culmination of the day for me.

As the night came to an end, we captured photos of what is the most show-stopping champagne tower I’ve ever seen, complete with three towers, floating roses, and stunning glassware.

We closed the night with our own toast over the project and many thank you’s to everyone involved. I am so proud of our collective efforts and so happy to share the gallery!
